Our company is seeking a test engineer to support continued test activities for the Battlefield Air Operations (BAO) software suite. The goal of the BAO software is to improve the performance of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Special Tactics (ST), Tactical Air Control Party (TACP), and Personnel Recovery operators during target acquisition and control, combat search and rescue, and personnel recovery operations, reducing potential for errors, enhancing the safety and security of friendly forces, and, ultimately, reducing the risks of fratricide.
This position offers the opportunity to develop and execute manual and automated test scripts against applications that truly make a difference. The test script development process includes reviewing and understanding software requirements and use cases, designing test procedures, and creating the scripts using automated tools. Utilizing the Test Complete and UFT automated testing tools requires knowledge of scripting languages and software development techniques.
The targeting and situational awareness software suite is developed and tested using a tailored Agile development methodology with two week sprints. Peer reviews are incorporated into every step of the process, allowing for near real-time feedback of developed products. As a result of the continual feedback, the position offers tremendous opportunity to further grow and evolve development and testing skills.
The software targets both Android and Windows platforms. The Android software is integrated with the ATAK software suite while the Windows solution integrates with WinTAK and FalconView.
