Mechanical Engineer / Building Commissioning Agent – US Hybrid
The preferred location is to live near one of the following cities:
– Kansas City, MO
– Arlington, VA
– Denver, CO
– Atlanta, GA
– Dallas, TX

Responsible for the successful execution of commissioning on a Federal government project. Utilizes knowledge and skill set to analyze and provide solutions for client’s needs. Collaborates with other disciplines and clients to provide complete results.
Key Responsibilities:
– Mechanical Commissioning Specialist
– Ensuring work execution is in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
– Manage commissioning scope, schedule, budget and quality on the assigned project
– Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on projects
– Recognized as a technical specialist by the division having in-depth knowledge of an engineering process and/or of technical aspects of an industry
– Actively shares knowledge with other staff members
Skills
Preferred design experience related to any of the following subject matters:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commissioning on projects of similar size and scope. Provide documented experience as a lead person responsible for the commissioning of systems of the type and complexity similar to the systems in the construction projects.
– Federal industry experience
– Knowledge of mechanical and control’s system startup, TAB, and PVT
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.
Commissioning Agent, certified by a nationally recognized commissioning organization. Acceptable certifications include:
1. ACG Certified Commissioning Agent,
2. AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional
3. BCA Certified Commissioning Professional
4. ICB/TABB Certified Commissioning Supervisor
5. NEBB Certified Commissioning Professional
Education
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Location:
This is a Hybrid office position – which means you must be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week. Qualified Candidates must live within 50 miles of an office location. In-office requirements are:
- Wednesday is a required in-office day for all professionals. There may be flexibility around the remaining two in-office days
- Core business hours are 9am- 3pm. Each manager has the ability to establish other core hours for various projects.
