Civil 3D Drafter/Designer

Overview
- collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Technology, Commercial & Industrial Market Sector, supporting Grid Solutions projects such as Substation and Overhead Transmission Line
- contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of site development, including grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities for these advanced industrial and commercial facilities
- Functioning in a lead technician capacity, this position performs technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using advanced techniques in industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation
- Provides technical guidance, consultation, and training to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs. May supervise an assigned team of engineering technicians and support personnel by coordinating, overseeing, and guiding both conceptual and detailed design activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with project objectives
Education & Experienc
- Diploma or Certificate required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design related technology preferred.
- 11 years of related work experience
- Proficient with the use of Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation
